ICC Fines Haris Rauf

ICC Fines Haris Rauf 20% of Match Fee for Code of Conduct Breach

The International Cricket Council (ICC) has fined Pakistan fast bowler Haris Rauf 20 percent of his match fee for breaching the code of conduct during the Pakistan-England match in the ODI tri-series in Lahore.

According to the ICC, Rauf was penalised for conduct considered contrary to the spirit of the game. The disciplinary action followed an on-field incident during Pakistan’s match against England on October 25, 2026.

The penalty includes a fine equivalent to 20 percent of Rauf’s match fee, along with an official reprimand. The ICC imposed the sanction under its code of conduct provisions relating to inappropriate on-field behaviour.

In addition to the financial penalty, the Pakistan fast bowler received one demerit point. This increased his total disciplinary tally to five points, according to reports published on October 28, 2026.

The incident reportedly occurred towards the end of Pakistan’s innings, when Rauf became involved in an exchange with England all-rounder Will Jacks. The situation escalated after a disputed appeal, with the umpires intervening during the confrontation.

The ICC’s disciplinary rules are intended to maintain professional standards and uphold the spirit of cricket. Players found to have breached these rules can face financial penalties, reprimands and demerit points, depending on the nature of the offence.
