Pakistan Navy Conducts Rescue Operation in Arabian Sea

Karachi: The Pakistan Navy successfully carried out a rescue operation in the Arabian Sea, providing humanitarian assistance to a foreign crew aboard a distressed vessel.

According to security sources, the cargo ship “MV Gautam,” en route from Oman to India, developed a technical fault during its journey. Following the incident, the Maritime Rescue Coordination Center (MRCC) Mumbai contacted Pakistani authorities for assistance.

Upon receiving the alert, the Pakistan Navy promptly dispatched a vessel of the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency, “Kashmir,” to conduct the rescue operation.

Sources stated that the crew, comprising six Indian nationals and one Indonesian, was provided with food supplies, medical aid, and technical support to address the emergency.

Officials emphasized that the Pakistan Navy remains fully prepared to respond to maritime emergencies and is committed to ensuring safety at sea on humanitarian grounds.
