Punjab Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat has said that the people of Sindh also aspire to see the same level of development in their province as they believe has taken place in Punjab. He made the remarks while addressing a press conference alongside Provincial Minister Faisal Ayub Khokhar in Lahore.
During the media briefing, the provincial minister said Pakistan continues to play an important role in promoting global peace. He added that Punjab, being the country’s largest province by population, would continue contributing to national development and stability.
Speaking about the political situation, Rana Sikandar Hayat expressed confidence that the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) would perform strongly in the Azad Jammu and Kashmir elections. He said the party’s development-oriented agenda would help secure public support.
The minister stated that the PML-N government had launched hundreds of development projects across the country. He also thanked the youth of Azad Kashmir, saying their support reflected confidence in the party’s focus on development and public welfare.
Referring to the upcoming phase of the elections, he voiced optimism about his party’s prospects and praised Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz for what he described as a principled approach to politics and governance.
Commenting on Sindh, Rana Sikandar Hayat said he would not claim that the province’s challenges were the responsibility of any single political era. However, he added that many residents of Sindh were asking when their province would witness development comparable to Punjab.
