US Plans to Seize Iranian Oil Tankers Amid Strait of Hormuz Tensions

The issue of US Iran oil tankers has escalated after reports suggested that the United States is preparing to seize Iranian oil tankers and commercial ships in international waters.

According to a report by an American newspaper, this move is intended to increase pressure on Iran amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.

The report states that Washington aims to force Iran to reopen the Strait of Hormuz and offer concessions regarding its nuclear program.

In response, Iran’s Revolutionary Guard has announced the implementation of new regulations for the Strait of Hormuz, signaling a firm stance.

Officials declared that any vessel passing through the strait must obtain prior permission from the Iranian navy, indicating tighter maritime control.

Iranian authorities also emphasized that ships must follow designated routes, while strict restrictions have been imposed on the movement of naval vessels.

Meanwhile, senior Iranian naval officials criticized US actions, stating that such measures harm even its allies. Iran has reiterated that the Strait of Hormuz will remain closed until what it calls unlawful US actions come to an end, further intensifying the US Iran oil tankers dispute.
