Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that the mediation efforts of Pakistan and Qatar have contributed to major progress toward ending the conflict in Lebanon. He described the recent discussions as an important step toward reducing regional tensions and advancing broader diplomatic goals.
Following the talks held in Switzerland, Pakistan and Qatar issued a joint communiqué outlining the outcomes of the negotiations. The statement highlighted continued engagement between the parties and the establishment of mechanisms to support future diplomatic efforts.

According to Araghchi, restrictions affecting Iran’s oil and petrochemical exports have been eased as part of the recent progress. He noted that the move could help strengthen Iran’s economy and improve the flow of energy supplies to international markets.
The Iranian foreign minister also revealed that some frozen Iranian assets have been released. In addition, certain economic restrictions have reportedly been relaxed, signaling a willingness by both sides to build confidence and create momentum for further negotiations.
Earlier, Iran’s Foreign Ministry stated that discussions focused on laying the groundwork for a final agreement. Officials said the talks achieved encouraging progress regarding the implementation of commitments and responsibilities by the parties involved.
