Hajj 2027: Government Scheme Applications Expected to Begin in August

The procedure for receiving applications and collecting payments under Pakistan’s Hajj 2027 government scheme has been finalized, according to sources in the Ministry of Religious Affairs. Applications under the official scheme are expected to open from the third week of August.

The sources said Pakistani citizens living abroad will also be eligible to apply under the government Hajj scheme. The inclusion of overseas Pakistanis will allow eligible applicants outside the country to participate in the official Hajj arrangements.

The Hajj 2027 expenses will be collected in two equal installments. Applicants will be required to pay half of the total amount in the first installment, while the remaining 50 percent will be payable in the second installment.

According to ministry sources, the authorities will stop accepting additional applications once the allocated government Hajj quota is filled. Applicants intending to perform Hajj through the official scheme are therefore expected to submit their applications within the announced period.

Pakistan’s total Hajj quota for 2027 has been set at 179,210 pilgrims. Under the agreed distribution, 60 percent of the quota has been allocated to the government Hajj scheme, while the remaining 40 percent will be available through the private Hajj scheme.

The quota distribution will allow a substantial number of Pakistani pilgrims to perform Hajj through government arrangements, while private Hajj operators will also facilitate pilgrims under the separate private scheme. Further information about the packages and other arrangements is expected to be announced with the official application schedule.
