Japan Praises Pakistan Role in US Iran Peace Talks

The Japan supports Pakistan diplomacy statement came after Tokyo praised Islamabad’s key role in facilitating recent US-Iran ceasefire discussions held in Pakistan.

The appreciation was conveyed during a telephone conversation between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, according to the Prime Minister’s Office.

During the call, both leaders discussed the Islamabad-hosted US-Iran talks and their significance for regional peace and global energy stability. The Japan supports Pakistan diplomacy stance highlighted growing international recognition of Pakistan’s mediation efforts.

Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi expressed full support for the peace process, emphasizing that constructive dialogue is essential for maintaining stability in the Middle East.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif thanked Japan for its support and reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to ensuring that the ceasefire process continues without disruption.

He also acknowledged the participation of both US and Iranian delegations in the talks, stating that Pakistan would continue its diplomatic efforts to maintain momentum for peace.

The Japan supports Pakistan diplomacy development further strengthens Pakistan-Japan relations, as both countries agreed to maintain close coordination on regional and global issues.
