Araghchi thanked Dar for sharing details of the agreement. The conversation came days after Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Türkiye formally signed the trilateral defence pact in Makkah.
The Dar Araghchi meeting also comes as Iran continues to assess developments surrounding the new regional security arrangement. Iranian officials have previously indicated that Tehran does not view the pact as a direct threat against Iran.
The two ministers agreed to maintain close contact on matters of mutual interest. Their agreement reflects continued diplomatic engagement between Islamabad and Tehran amid wider regional developments.
The latest Dar Araghchi meeting highlights Pakistan’s efforts to maintain communication with neighbouring and regional countries following the signing of the Makkah agreement. Islamabad has described the pact as defensive and focused on peace, security and stability.
