DG ISPR Press Conference on Operation Marka-e-Haq

Pakistan’s DG ISPR Press Conference marked one year since the military campaign referred to as “Marka-e-Haq,” where military officials claimed Pakistan successfully defended itself against a much larger adversary. Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry addressed the media alongside senior officers from the Pakistan Air Force and Pakistan Navy. He stated that the armed forces fulfilled the expectations of the nation with unity and preparedness.

During the DG ISPR Press Conference, the military spokesperson said Pakistan overcame an enemy that was several times larger in strength during a modern multi-domain conflict. He explained that the confrontation extended beyond traditional battlefields and included cyber, air, sea, and information warfare. According to him, Pakistan’s armed forces remained fully prepared throughout the conflict.

Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry also accused India of promoting a misleading narrative regarding terrorism in the region. He stated that India has repeatedly blamed Pakistan without presenting clear evidence. He added that the international community is no longer easily convinced by what he described as unverified allegations against Pakistan.

Speaking about the Pahalgam incident, the military spokesperson said many questions raised by Pakistan still remain unanswered after one year. He questioned who was responsible for the attack and asked India to clarify which alleged militant camps were targeted afterward. He maintained that Pakistan continues to demand transparency regarding the incident.

The DG ISPR Press Conference also focused on the Kashmir dispute. The army spokesperson said Kashmir remains an internationally recognized disputed territory and cannot be considered a settled matter. He further alleged that India uses internal security incidents to shift blame onto neighboring countries instead of addressing domestic concerns.

In strong remarks directed toward Indian leadership, Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said some Indian politicians appear to favor aggressive rhetoric over diplomacy. He warned that Pakistan would respond firmly to any form of military escalation, whether conventional or unconventional. He emphasized that Pakistan’s military remains alert across land, air, sea, cyber, and strategic fronts.

The DG ISPR Press Conference concluded with a message of national confidence and military readiness. Officials reiterated that Pakistan’s armed forces are fully capable of defending the country against external threats. The briefing also highlighted the importance of regional stability while stressing that any challenge to Pakistan’s sovereignty would receive a strong response.
