The gold price in Pakistan recorded a sharp increase on Friday, rising by Rs3,000 per tola in line with gains in the international bullion market. According to the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA), the price of one tola of gold reached Rs430,436.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold increased by Rs2,572, taking it to Rs369,029. The latest increase follows Thursday’s rise of Rs1,000 per tola, when gold was priced at Rs427,436 in local markets.
The international gold market also witnessed strong gains during the day. The global gold price increased by $30 per ounce, reaching $4,080 per ounce, including a premium of $20. The rise in global bullion prices directly influenced domestic gold rates.
Market analysts said fluctuations in international precious metal prices, investor sentiment, and global economic uncertainty continue to influence the gold price in Pakistan. Local gold rates generally move in line with trends in international markets and currency fluctuations.
Meanwhile, silver prices also posted a notable increase. The price of silver rose by Rs79 per tola, taking the local market rate to Rs6,294 per tola, reflecting the broader upward trend in precious metals.
Jewellers said gold demand often fluctuates depending on price movements, with buyers closely monitoring market conditions before making purchasing decisions. Traders also expect continued volatility if international bullion prices remain elevated.
The latest increase in the gold price in Pakistan highlights the close connection between domestic and global bullion markets. Investors and consumers are expected to keep a close watch on international developments that could influence precious metal prices in the coming days.
