According to the latest Sindh heatwave warning, several central and upper districts of Sindh are expected to experience a heatwave from today until May 3. The weather is likely to remain extremely hot and dry during this period.

Officials said that districts such as Jamshoro, Dadu, and Shaheed Benazirabad may see temperatures 4 to 6 degrees Celsius above normal. The Sindh heatwave warning also highlights increased risk in surrounding areas due to prolonged heat conditions.

Other districts including Ghotki, Sanghar, Khairpur, Naushahro Feroze, Jacobabad, Larkana, and Sukkur are also expected to remain under heatwave conditions. The department warned that the Sindh heatwave warning could intensify health risks if precautions are not taken.

Meteorologists have advised people, especially children, women, and the elderly, to avoid direct sunlight during peak hours. They also urged citizens to increase water intake and limit outdoor activities during the day.

Farmers have been instructed to adjust agricultural activities, particularly wheat-related operations, according to weather conditions. Livestock owners have also been advised to take protective measures for animals under the ongoing Sindh heatwave warning.
