Iran’s Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf said Iran won the war and now faces the important task of protecting and strengthening that achievement. Speaking during a meeting of the Iranian Parliament Coordination Council, he urged the country to focus on long-term stability and future progress.
According to reports carried by Al Jazeera, citing the semi-official Tasnim News Agency, Ghalibaf stated that military success alone is not enough. He said Iran must consolidate its position by strengthening national institutions and maintaining confidence in the country’s future.
Ghalibaf also stressed that the Iranian people should remain hopeful despite ongoing regional challenges. He said national unity and optimism would play a key role in helping Iran move forward after what he described as a significant victory.
The parliament speaker emphasized that government officials should prioritize expanding the executive authority and institutional capacity of Iran’s supreme leader. According to Ghalibaf, this step is essential for building a stronger and more resilient state.
He argued that any long-term strategy aimed at national development should begin with reinforcing the country’s leadership structure. Ghalibaf said stronger governance would improve decision-making and help Iran address both domestic and international challenges more effectively.
The remarks come as Iran continues to face political and security pressures across the region. Officials have increasingly highlighted national resilience and institutional strength as central elements of the country’s future policy direction. Ghalibaf’s comments reflect this broader emphasis on stability and governance.
As discussions continue, Iran won the war remains a central theme in official statements. While the claim reflects the government’s position, attention is now shifting toward how the country plans to translate that declared success into long-term political stability, stronger institutions, and sustained national development.
