The Mamya Shajaffar Arslan Butt dispute has officially come to an end after both actors reached an amicable settlement following weeks of legal exchanges. The agreement was signed on June 19 and later shared publicly by both parties through their social media accounts, confirming that the matter has been fully resolved.
According to the settlement document, misunderstandings and disagreements had emerged between the two actors regarding statements, communications, legal notices, complaints, and potential proceedings before various forums. Both parties agreed to resolve the issue voluntarily with the assistance of mutual mediators, elders, and well-wishers.
The agreement stated that the allegations related to alleged workplace harassment had been settled and that both actors had decided to move forward. It further confirmed that no unresolved claims, disputes, grievances, or misunderstandings remained between the parties following the settlement.
A key aspect of the agreement clarified that the resolution should not be interpreted as an admission of guilt, liability, misconduct, or wrongdoing by either side. The document emphasized that the settlement was intended solely to bring the dispute to a close and prevent further escalation.
As part of the arrangement, both actors agreed not to make defamatory, hostile, threatening, or damaging comments about one another in the future. They also committed to cooperating in withdrawing or discontinuing any complaints, notices, claims, or proceedings related to the matter.
The Mamya Shajaffar Arslan Butt dispute began after Shajaffar appeared on a podcast in May and spoke about an uncomfortable experience involving a person identified only as “Arsalan.” Following widespread speculation on social media, she clarified that she was not referring to actor Arsalan Khan, who had been linked to the discussion by online users.
Arslan Butt later became associated with the controversy after his name was mentioned during the podcast conversation. He subsequently issued a legal notice alleging defamation and reputational harm, while Shajaffar responded with a counter-notice seeking damages. With the signing of the settlement agreement, both parties have now formally closed the matter and agreed to leave the dispute behind.
