Pakistan security forces carried out a major Chaman sector operation against Afghan Taliban, destroying multiple posts in Balochistan’s border area, according to security sources. The action came in response to what officials described as unprovoked cross-border aggression.
The Chaman sector operation against Afghan Taliban was launched after reported firing incidents from Afghan territory. Security officials said the response was part of an ongoing campaign aimed at securing the border and preventing further attacks on civilians and military positions.
During the operation, several Afghan Taliban positions, including Sarshan, Al-Marjan, and Edhi posts, were targeted and destroyed. Vehicles and other installations were also hit, according to security sources, marking significant damage to hostile infrastructure.
Officials stated that Pakistan’s security forces acted with precision and determination during the Chaman sector operation against Afghan Taliban. They emphasized that the objective was to neutralize threats and protect national security interests along the border region.
Authorities further added that the operation is part of a broader military response strategy that began after repeated cross-border incidents. The campaign, named Operation Ghazab lil-Haq, continues with the stated aim of eliminating militant threats operating from across the border.
Security officials reiterated that Pakistan has repeatedly urged Afghan authorities to dismantle militant sanctuaries. However, they said these concerns have not been adequately addressed, leading to continued tensions and security operations.
The Chaman sector operation against Afghan Taliban is expected to continue until all identified targets are achieved. Officials maintained that Pakistan remains committed to defending its territory and ensuring long-term border stability.
