Pakistan’s Foreign Office has announced a positive development in the ongoing Iran-US talks, confirming that both countries have agreed to continue negotiations in the coming days following mediation efforts in Doha.
According to Foreign Office spokesperson, Pakistani and Qatari mediators held separate meetings with American and Iranian negotiators in the Qatari capital. The discussions focused on issues related to the Islamabad Memorandum of Understanding and resulted in constructive progress.
The Foreign Office stated that the latest discussions build on the momentum created during the Lake Lucerne summit, where both sides made progress on key diplomatic issues. Officials said the parties agreed to maintain dialogue and continue working toward resolving outstanding matters through negotiations.

The spokesperson added that both Iran and the United States have expressed their commitment to keeping diplomatic channels open and holding another round of talks in the near future.
According to the statement, the next meeting is expected to be scheduled as soon as possible after the funeral ceremonies of former Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. Diplomatic contacts are continuing to finalize the timing of the next round of negotiations.
Pakistan reaffirmed its support for peaceful dialogue and diplomacy, emphasizing that negotiations remain the most effective way to resolve regional disputes and promote long-term stability. The Foreign Office said Islamabad will continue supporting initiatives that contribute to peace and regional cooperation.
