Pakistan Supports Jordan Proposal on Palestine Crisis

Pakistan supports Jordan Palestine proposal aimed at strengthening diplomatic efforts over the worsening situation in the Middle East, particularly the ongoing crisis in Palestine. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar expressed support for Jordan’s plan to convene a meeting of Arab and Islamic countries.

The development came during a telephone conversation between Ishaq Dar and Jordanian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ayman Safadi. Both leaders discussed the deteriorating conditions in Gaza and the occupied West Bank and agreed on the need for stronger diplomatic coordination.

The two foreign ministers expressed serious concern over continued Israeli military actions, including air strikes, ground operations, and increasing settler violence in Palestinian territories. They called for efforts to reduce tensions and protect civilian lives.

During the discussion, Pakistan and Jordan also condemned repeated incursions into the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound in occupied East Jerusalem by Israeli settlers and far-right groups. They said restrictions on Palestinian worshippers were increasing tensions and affecting peace efforts.

Safadi appreciated Pakistan’s role in promoting regional peace and stability. He expressed hope that ongoing diplomatic initiatives would help achieve positive outcomes and encourage greater cooperation among Arab and Islamic countries.

Ishaq Dar reaffirmed Pakistan’s continued support for the rights of the Palestinian people. He said Pakistan remains committed to a fair and lasting peace based on the two-state solution, including an independent Palestinian state.

The Pakistan supports Jordan Palestine proposal comes as regional countries continue diplomatic efforts to address the conflict and humanitarian challenges in Gaza and other Palestinian areas. Officials said further consultations among partner countries are expected.
