Sharjeel Memon PPP remarks have highlighted the Pakistan Peoples Party’s claimed contributions to the country, with the Sindh senior minister saying the party’s services have no parallel.
Speaking to the media in Karachi, Sharjeel Memon said the PPP comes to power through the public mandate and works for citizens after forming governments. He also pointed to the party’s historical role in national development.
The Sindh minister said a large number of double-decker buses would arrive in Karachi next month. He added that electric taxis were also expected, while approval had been given for 500 electric buses as part of efforts to improve urban transport.
Sharjeel Memon also said pink scooters would soon become available to citizens. The initiatives, he said, were aimed at improving transportation facilities and providing additional options for commuters across Karachi.
Discussing infrastructure development, the provincial minister said 80 to 85 percent of work on the University Road corridor had been completed. He added that traffic was currently moving without major problems and the project was expected to be fully completed by September 15.
Sharjeel Memon PPP statements also included remarks about Pakistan’s energy potential. He said electricity could be generated at lower costs using coal and highlighted the availability of coal reserves in Tharparkar.
The minister claimed that Thar coal could support power plants across Pakistan. He also credited the PPP with what he described as major national achievements, including Pakistan becoming a nuclear power, while emphasizing the party’s contribution to the country.
