Trump new US passport has been unveiled by President Donald Trump as part of commemorations marking the 250th anniversary of American independence. The limited-edition passport design, shared on Trump’s Truth Social platform, features the president’s portrait along with patriotic artwork celebrating the founding of the United States.
The passport rendering shows Trump seated at his desk with a serious expression and his signature displayed beneath the image. The background includes the text of the Declaration of Independence, while the opposite page features a historic painting depicting the signing of the declaration in 1776 alongside the words “United States of America 250.”
The White House also shared the design on social media, describing it as the “Patriot Passport.” Officials have presented the commemorative passport as part of celebrations surrounding the country’s upcoming 250th anniversary, which will be observed in 2026.
Earlier, the U.S. State Department announced that a commemorative passport with custom artwork would become available beginning July 6. According to previous statements from department officials, the Trump-themed edition will initially be offered only through in-person appointments in Washington and will remain available while supplies last.
Trump new US passport is the latest example of the president placing his personal mark on federal institutions and national symbols. During his current administration, Trump has introduced several initiatives highlighting his presidency across government properties and official projects.
The Treasury Department has also announced plans for Trump’s signature to appear on the one-dollar bill. In addition, the president previously sought to add his name to the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, although a court later ruled that the name should be removed.
If issued as announced, the commemorative passport would make Trump the first sitting U.S. president to appear on an American passport. The limited-edition document is expected to attract public attention as part of the broader America 250 celebrations.
