Ask YouTube AI feature

Google Introduces AI Search Feature “Ask YouTube” for Smarter Video Results

Google is expanding its artificial intelligence capabilities by introducing a new AI-powered search feature for YouTube called “Ask YouTube.” The feature is designed to make searching for information within videos faster and more interactive.

Instead of using simple keyword searches, users can now ask detailed and complex questions to receive comprehensive results that include videos, summaries, and text-based explanations. The feature also allows follow-up questions for a more conversational search experience.

One of the most useful aspects of the new feature is its ability to take users directly to the exact moment in a video that contains the information they need. This means viewers no longer have to watch an entire video to find a specific answer or topic.

During Google’s annual developer conference, Sundar Pichai said that the “Ask YouTube” feature will make accessing information significantly easier and more efficient for users around the world.

Currently, the feature has been introduced for YouTube Premium users in the United States who are 18 years or older. Google confirmed that the feature will gradually roll out to additional countries and regions in the near future.

According to the company, users will need to manually enable the feature through their account settings. After activation, a new “Ask YouTube” button will appear in the search bar with prompt suggestions, while users can also type custom questions.

For example, users can ask detailed questions about road trips, travel destinations, tutorials, or educational topics. The AI tool will then provide summaries along with a list of related videos, making content discovery more personalized and efficient.
