The Eid emergency services in Gujranwala will remain fully operational during Eid-ul-Adha holidays as divisional authorities announced special arrangements for water supply, medical response, and rescue operations. Commissioner Muhammad Ali issued directives to all departments.
Officials stated that WASA authorities have been instructed to ensure uninterrupted water supply throughout the Eid holidays. Emergency teams will remain available to address complaints related to water shortages and drainage issues.
The commissioner also directed WASA officials to respond immediately to public complaints regarding sewerage and drainage problems. Monitoring teams will continue field inspections in urban areas during Eid days.
According to the administration, Rescue 1122 personnel will stay fully active to handle emergencies during Eid-ul-Adha. Ambulance services and rescue teams have been placed on alert across the division.
Authorities further confirmed that emergency medical teams and healthcare facilities will continue providing uninterrupted medical services during the holidays. Adequate arrangements for medicines and emergency treatment have also been finalized.
The administration stated that hospitals and emergency response centers would remain coordinated to ensure quick action during any emergency situation. Officials emphasized that public convenience remains the government’s priority.
Commissioner Muhammad Ali warned departments against negligence in service delivery during Eid. He said all institutions must maintain close coordination to ensure smooth operations and public relief during the festive period.
