Iran warns Kuwait and Bahrain

Iran Warns Kuwait and Bahrain After US Strikes on Qeshm Island

Iran warns Kuwait and Bahrain following what Tehran described as US military attacks on Iranian targets near the Strait of Hormuz and Qeshm Island. The latest escalation has added fresh tension to an already fragile regional security environment and raised concerns about the future of diplomatic efforts between Tehran and Washington.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, Iran’s Foreign Ministry strongly condemned the reported US strikes, alleging that an Iranian tanker in the Strait of Hormuz and a telecommunications facility on Qeshm Island were targeted. Iranian officials described the incidents as violations of international law and the existing ceasefire framework.

The ministry further claimed that the attacks were launched with support from regional countries, specifically naming Kuwait and Bahrain. According to Tehran, the use of foreign territory or military facilities for operations against Iran constitutes an act of aggression. As a result, Iran warns Kuwait and Bahrain that they could face consequences if such actions continue.

Iranian authorities stressed that the country reserves the right to respond to threats against its sovereignty. Officials stated that Tehran would use all available means to counter future attacks and could target the source of any military action directed against Iranian territory.

The developments came after separate security incidents in Kuwait and Bahrain. Kuwaiti authorities reported drone attacks that caused injuries and damage at Kuwait International Airport, while Bahraini officials said several drones were intercepted in the country’s airspace. Both governments attributed the incidents to Iranian aggression.

Meanwhile, the United States said its military actions were conducted in self-defense following renewed Iranian missile activity against regional countries. Washington maintains that its operations are aimed at protecting its forces and allies in the region amid continuing instability.

As diplomatic efforts continue, Iran warns Kuwait and Bahrain at a time when negotiations between Tehran and Washington remain uncertain. Analysts say the latest accusations and military exchanges could complicate attempts to achieve a broader agreement and increase tensions across the Gulf region.
