Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi Israel US policy remarks have renewed debate over foreign influence in Washington after he accused Israel of attempting to shape both US foreign policy and domestic politics. The comments were made in a statement posted on the social media platform X.
Araghchi criticized the US administration, arguing that while Americans are often warned about foreign influence, concerns should also extend to what he described as Israeli efforts to push Washington toward a conflict that, in his view, cannot be won.
In his statement, the Iranian foreign minister referred to a report published by Time magazine. He cited claims that Brad Parscale, the former campaign manager for US President Donald Trump, was involved in an Israeli influence campaign aimed at supporters of the MAGA movement.
Araghchi further alleged that Israel was using American taxpayers’ money to silence critics within the United States. He claimed that additional information regarding these alleged activities would eventually become public but did not provide further evidence to support the assertion.
The remarks come at a time of heightened tensions between Iran, Israel, and the United States, with regional security remaining fragile amid ongoing military and diplomatic developments across the Middle East.
Neither the US government nor Israeli officials immediately responded publicly to Araghchi’s latest comments. The claims also could not be independently verified at the time of publication.
The exchange highlights the continuing war of words between Tehran and its regional rivals, as political and diplomatic tensions remain elevated alongside broader geopolitical challenges in the region.
