QUETTA: Chief of Defence Forces Field Marshal Asim Munir has said that the future of Balochistan rests with its people, while stressing the state’s resolve to counter efforts aimed at destabilizing the province.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal met with prominent figures and political leaders from Balochistan. During the meeting, he discussed the province’s security, development and future prospects.
Field Marshal Asim Munir said the future of Balochistan and Pakistan is closely connected and will remain so. He described the people of Balochistan as talented, resilient, patriotic and dignified, adding that the province’s young population has significant potential.
He also highlighted the importance of creating opportunities for young people. According to ISPR, he said the youth represent one of the most dynamic and promising segments of society and can play an important role in Balochistan’s development and progress.
The Chief of Defence Forces alleged that Fitna al-Khawarij and Fitna al-Hindustan are foreign-backed proxies being used to create instability in Balochistan. He said such elements seek to hinder development and create divisions between the state and the people.
Field Marshal Asim Munir called for a comprehensive response to what he described as enemy propaganda and urged efforts to expose what he termed false narratives. He said the state’s firm and decisive response would help defeat attempts to undermine peace and stability.
