Iran Prefers Pakistan for Second Round US Talks

Iranian officials have indicated that Pakistan would be their preferred venue if a second round of US Iran talks in Pakistan is held, signaling continued diplomatic momentum between Tehran and Washington.

According to Iranian officials, Tehran remains ready for dialogue, although the position of the United States regarding the next round of talks is still unclear. The preference for US Iran talks in Pakistan highlights Islamabad’s growing diplomatic role.

Reports from international news agencies suggest that both US and Iranian delegations may return to Islamabad later this week for renewed negotiations aimed at easing regional tensions.

Earlier, Reuters cited sources indicating that Pakistan could host another round of high-level discussions as early as this week or the beginning of next week, reinforcing expectations of US Iran talks in Pakistan.

Iranian embassy officials in Islamabad also confirmed that discussions could take place within the coming days, depending on final coordination between the two sides. This has further strengthened speculation around US Iran talks in Pakistan.

Separately, reports suggest that Pakistan has already offered to host the next phase of negotiations between Washington and Tehran, following earlier high-level talks held in the capital.
