ITC Brings Hands-Only CPR

ITC Brings Hands-Only CPR to Islamabad, Marking CPR Month

Live demonstrations and hands-on practice in support of the American Heart Association’s life-saving mission

Islamabad, 30 October 2026: International Training Center (ITC), together with Lifesaver CPR & First Aid Trainings, an AHA Aligned Training Site, held a Hands-Only CPR awareness activity at in Islamabad. The activity supported the American Heart Association (AHA) mission and marked October as CPR Month.

About students, faculty and staff took part. Instructors first demonstrated how to recognize cardiac arrest, call for help and begin chest compressions. Participants then knelt at rows of training manikins and practiced under supervision. Instructors corrected hand position, compression depth and rate as they went.

Hands-Only CPR is a simple technique that bystanders can start before help arrives. It needs no mouth-to-mouth breathing, which makes it easier for people with no medical background to act with confidence. The AHA notes that immediate CPR can double or triple a person’s chance of survival after cardiac arrest.

The session drew keen interest, and participants kept practicing after the demonstration. ITC plans to hold further awareness activities and to offer AHA-aligned courses, including BLS, ACLS and PALS, through its partner facilities in Pakistan.
