Pakistan’s Exports Surge Over 31% in July 2026 as New Fiscal Year Begins

Pakistan has begun the new fiscal year on a positive note, with exports posting significant growth in July 2026. The latest trade figures indicate a sharp increase in export earnings, reflecting improved performance despite ongoing regional uncertainty.

According to the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS), the country’s exports reached $2.939 billion in July 2026. In comparison, exports stood at $2.242 billion in June 2026, highlighting a substantial month-on-month increase.

Official data shows that exports grew by 31.09% compared to the previous month, making it one of the strongest monthly improvements at the start of the fiscal year. The increase is viewed as an encouraging sign for Pakistan’s external trade sector.

On a year-on-year basis, exports also recorded healthy growth, rising 9.54% compared with July of the previous year. The figures suggest that demand for Pakistani products remained resilient despite economic and geopolitical challenges in the region.

Economists believe the rise in exports reflects stronger performance across key export-oriented industries, particularly manufacturing and textiles. Continued growth in overseas shipments could help improve foreign exchange earnings and strengthen the country’s overall economic outlook.

Analysts say sustaining this momentum will depend on stable trade policies, competitive production, and favorable conditions in international markets. Consistent export growth could also contribute to narrowing the trade deficit and supporting long-term economic stability.
