The Sindh Weather Forecast has brought some relief for residents as the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) predicts light to moderate rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and dust storms in several districts on June 1. The forecast comes after days of intense heat that affected large parts of the province.
According to the PMD, weather conditions influenced by strong heat and westerly wind systems may trigger thunderstorms in Qambar Shahdadkot, Dadu, Mirpurkhas, and Tharparkar. Meteorologists believe the changing weather pattern could provide temporary relief from extreme temperatures.
Despite the rain prediction, the Sindh Weather Forecast indicates that heatwave conditions are expected to persist across many districts. Authorities have advised residents to take precautions against excessive heat and remain hydrated during outdoor activities.
The PMD stated that temperatures in Kashmore, Khairpur, Qambar Shahdadkot, Jacobabad, Dadu, Shaheed Benazirabad, and Naushahro Feroze could range between 47°C and 50°C. Such temperatures remain significantly above seasonal averages and continue to pose health risks.
In districts including Tharparkar, Badin, Hyderabad, Matiari, Tando Muhammad Khan, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Jamshoro, and Sanghar, temperatures are expected to remain between 44°C and 47°C. The Sindh Weather Forecast suggests that hot and dry conditions will dominate despite isolated chances of rain.
Meanwhile, Karachi is likely to experience hot and humid weather over the next three days. Daytime temperatures are expected to remain between 35°C and 37°C, while humidity levels may reach around 80 percent during morning hours and 70 percent in the evening.
The PMD also highlighted recent extreme weather records, noting that Dadu recently surpassed its previous decade-long temperature record by reaching 51.5°C. Experts say changing weather patterns and persistent heat underscore the importance of monitoring forecasts and taking necessary safety measures during the ongoing summer season.
