Turkey Says Israel Trying to Make It New Enemy: Fidan

The Turkey Israel tensions have escalated further after Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan claimed that Israel is attempting to portray Turkey as its “new enemy” following recent remarks by Israeli leadership.

Speaking in a televised interview, Fidan said Israel “cannot live without an enemy,” adding that after Iran, Turkey is now being targeted in Israeli political narratives.

The Turkey Israel tensions intensified as Fidan suggested that not only Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s government but also some opposition figures in Israel are contributing to this perception.

He described the development as part of a broader Israeli state strategy, warning that Ankara is being deliberately positioned as a regional adversary.

The comments come amid already strained relations between the two countries, which have sharply deteriorated since the Gaza conflict and broader regional military escalation.

The Turkey Israel tensions were further fueled by exchanges between leaders on both sides, including critical statements involving Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Israeli officials.

Turkey’s foreign ministry reiterated its stance, saying it will continue to support civilians and hold Israeli leadership accountable through international legal mechanisms and diplomatic channels.
