Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has described his recent visit to Islamabad as highly productive, stating that he held constructive and positive discussions with Pakistani officials on key regional matters.
Speaking to Iranian media upon arrival in Moscow, Araghchi said he traveled to Russia to continue close consultations on regional and global issues between the two countries.
He confirmed that he is scheduled to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin, adding that the meeting will provide an opportunity to review ongoing conflicts and the current geopolitical situation.
According to Araghchi, the meeting with Putin will be significant in strengthening coordination between Tehran and Moscow, especially amid evolving global challenges.
Reflecting on his Pakistan visit, he said discussions in Islamabad included past developments and the specific conditions under which Iran-U.S. negotiations could potentially move forward.
He also highlighted his recent visit to Oman, where talks focused on the strategic importance of the Strait of Hormuz. As coastal states, Iran and Oman share mutual responsibility for ensuring safe maritime transit.
Araghchi emphasized that both Iran and Oman maintain strong alignment and have agreed to continue consultations at the expert level, stressing that coordination is essential to safeguard shared interests in the region.
