Iran’s Revolutionary Guard says Iran is ready to respond to any US action, while also preparing measures to deal with Washington’s growing economic pressure. The statement comes amid renewed tensions between Tehran and Washington.
Revolutionary Guard spokesman Brigadier General Mohbi said Iran had developed a strategy to withstand what he described as an economic war by the United States. He said Tehran was prepared to manage the pressure alongside its broader national policies.
Mohbi was responding to remarks by the US president about launching an extremely severe economic campaign against Iran. According to the Iranian official, Washington’s decision reflected difficulties in achieving its objectives through military means.
The Revolutionary Guard spokesman argued that if the United States had achieved military success against Iran, it would not have needed to turn toward intensified economic pressure. He presented the economic campaign as evidence of the limits of military options.
Mohbi also said Iran was continuing its economic activities despite US pressure. He claimed that Tehran was pursuing its affairs independently and was not allowing American measures to dictate the country’s economic direction.
The Iranian official expressed confidence that the results of these policies would become visible in the near future. He also said Iran did not face any major concern regarding its economic situation despite the pressure from Washington.
