Quetta train service restored

Quetta Train Service Restored After Two-Day Suspension

Pakistan Railways has officially restored train operations from Quetta to other parts of the country after a temporary suspension lasting two days. The decision brings relief to thousands of passengers who were affected by the disruption in rail services across Balochistan.

Railway authorities had suspended train operations from May 18 to May 19 due to unavoidable operational reasons. During this period, several routes remained affected, including the popular Jaffar Express service connecting Quetta and Peshawar.

According to railway officials, the Quetta-to-Peshawar Jaffar Express remained canceled for two consecutive days. Meanwhile, the Peshawar-to-Quetta service was operated only up to Jacobabad instead of completing its full journey to Quetta.

With the situation returning to normal, Pakistan Railways announced the complete restoration of train services on Wednesday. The restoration is expected to improve travel convenience for passengers traveling between Balochistan and other provinces of Pakistan.

Officials confirmed that the Jaffar Express departed from Quetta for Peshawar at its scheduled time of 9:00 AM on Wednesday morning. Passengers welcomed the decision, as the suspension had caused travel delays and uncertainty over the past two days.

Railway authorities also stated that the Jaffar Express traveling from Peshawar is expected to arrive in Quetta on Wednesday afternoon. Operational staff have been directed to ensure smooth railway services and maintain schedules without further interruptions.

The restoration of railway operations highlights the importance of rail connectivity between Quetta and major cities of Pakistan. Travelers are advised to stay updated through official Pakistan Railways announcements for any future schedule changes or operational updates.
