The Pakistan Petroleum Price Increase has officially been announced, with the federal government revising fuel prices upward for the next fortnight. According to the Petroleum Division, the revised prices will come into effect from 12:00 AM, impacting motorists, transporters, and businesses across the country.
The government has increased the petrol price by Rs13.18 per litre, taking the new rate to Rs310.71 per litre. Meanwhile, high-speed diesel has become Rs13.80 more expensive, with the latest official price fixed at Rs323.30 per litre. The adjustment follows the government’s regular fuel price review mechanism.
Officials from the Petroleum Division stated that the revised rates are based on prevailing international oil market trends and applicable tax adjustments. The increase is expected to influence transportation costs and may also affect the prices of essential goods in the coming weeks.

In addition to higher fuel prices, the government has also revised the Petroleum Levy on petrol. The latest notification confirms that the levy on petrol has been increased by Rs9.64 per litre, bringing the total petroleum levy to Rs80 per litre. Previously, consumers were paying Rs70.36 per litre in petroleum levy on petrol.
The notification further clarified that the petroleum levy on high-speed diesel remains unchanged at Rs70.82 per litre. Likewise, the levy on kerosene oil continues at Rs20.36 per litre, with no revision announced for the current pricing cycle.
