Iranian state media has stated that the reaction of US President Donald Trump to Tehran’s response carries no significance for Iran’s decision-making process. The remarks come amid growing tensions between Iran and the United States over recent diplomatic proposals.
According to Iranian state media, policies and national plans in Iran are not designed to satisfy or please American leaders. Officials emphasized that if Trump is unhappy with Iran’s response, it is considered beneficial for Tehran’s national interests rather than a matter of concern.
Iranian security sources claimed that the proposals presented by the United States were equivalent to surrendering to what they described as Trump’s excessive demands. The sources argued that Tehran could not accept conditions that undermine Iran’s strategic and political position in the region.
The reports further stated that Iran’s counterproposals included demands for compensation related to wartime damages. Iranian officials also strongly emphasized the country’s sovereignty and authority over the Strait of Hormuz, a strategically important global oil shipping route.
The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most sensitive maritime corridors, through which a significant portion of global oil supplies passes daily. Any tension involving the waterway often raises international concerns regarding energy security and regional stability.
Political analysts believe the latest exchange of statements reflects the continued deadlock between Tehran and Washington. Despite periodic diplomatic efforts, both sides remain divided on key issues related to sanctions, regional influence, and security arrangements.
