A special ceremony was organized at General Headquarters (GHQ) to mark the first anniversary of Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos, launched in response to Indian aggression. Senior military leadership, including Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, attended the prestigious event alongside top officials of Pakistan’s armed forces.
The ceremony was attended by Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu and Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf. The event highlighted the unity and preparedness of Pakistan’s military institutions while honoring the sacrifices made for national security and defense.
Before the main gathering, the chiefs of the armed forces visited the Martyrs’ Memorial at GHQ. Floral wreaths were laid to pay tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty. Special prayers were also offered for the country’s peace, stability, and prosperity.
Following the tribute ceremony, a smartly turned-out contingent of the armed forces presented a formal salute to the military leadership. Representatives from the Pakistan Army, Navy, and Air Force participated in the ceremonial proceedings, reflecting inter-services harmony and coordination.
According to Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully prepared to respond to all internal and external challenges. The military spokesperson emphasized that the support of the nation continues to strengthen the morale and operational readiness of the security forces.
ISPR further stated that the success achieved during the “Battle for Truth” demonstrated the professionalism, dedication, and combat preparedness of Pakistan’s military. Officials noted that the achievements of Operation Bunyan-ul-Marsoos significantly reinforced public confidence in the armed forces.
The anniversary ceremony concluded with renewed commitment from military leadership to safeguard Pakistan’s sovereignty and stability. The event also served as a reminder of the sacrifices of martyrs and the collective resolve of the nation to stand united during challenging times.
