Pakistan heat wave warning 2026

Heat Wave Warning Issued Across Pakistan Till Month-End

The Meteorological Department has issued a Pakistan heat wave warning 2026, predicting a sharp rise in temperatures across multiple regions of the country from Monday until the end of the month.

According to officials, the heat wave is expected to impact central and southern Punjab, Sindh, southern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan. Temperatures may rise up to 7°C above normal levels during this period.

The Pakistan heat wave warning 2026 comes at a time when citizens are preparing for Eid holidays, raising concerns over public safety, travel, and outdoor activities during extreme weather conditions.

Met Department Director Irfan Virk advised people to avoid unnecessary daytime travel and outdoor exposure, especially during peak afternoon hours when temperatures are expected to be at their highest.

He further suggested that tourists and families planning Eid outings should prefer evening or nighttime hours to reduce the risk of heat-related illness and dehydration.

Authorities also warned that the intense heat may affect water levels in rivers due to increased melting and evaporation, requiring extra caution in vulnerable areas.

The Pakistan heat wave warning 2026 highlights the importance of preventive measures, as officials continue to monitor the situation and urge the public to stay hydrated and follow safety guidelines.
