Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi visited the FBI Headquarters in Washington, D.C., where he held a meeting with FBI Director Kash Patel to discuss expanding cooperation in cyber investigations, law enforcement, and security initiatives.
The meeting focused on enhancing Pakistan’s cyber investigation capabilities through the provision of technical resources, specialized training, and closer collaboration between the two countries’ law enforcement agencies. Both sides discussed ways to improve institutional cooperation in addressing emerging cyber threats.
Minister Naqvi highlighted the growing importance of international partnerships in combating cybercrime and strengthening digital security. He emphasized that advanced technology, knowledge sharing, and professional training are essential to improving investigative capabilities in an increasingly digital world.
During the meeting, FBI Director Kash Patel described the partnership between the United States and Pakistan as important and expressed confidence that continued cooperation would lead to greater success in the future. He stressed the value of maintaining close coordination on issues of mutual interest.
Patel also said it was an honor to host Pakistan’s Interior Minister at FBI Headquarters. He acknowledged Pakistan’s cooperation on regional security matters and noted that continued collaboration contributes to advancing shared security objectives.
The discussions also covered opportunities for expanding professional exchanges and specialized training programs for investigators. Officials from both sides agreed that stronger cooperation can help improve responses to cybercrime and other transnational security challenges.
