The AJK election 2026 results continued to emerge on Monday, with Azad Jammu and Kashmir Prime Minister and PPP candidate Raja Faisal Mumtaz Rathore winning the LA-17 Bagh constituency.
Rathore secured 33,252 votes in the constituency, according to unofficial and unverified results received from all polling stations. His victory marks a closely contested result in the Bagh district.
PML-N candidate Chaudhry Mohsin Aziz finished second after receiving 31,812 votes. The narrow margin highlighted the close competition between the Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz in the constituency.
Polling was held on Monday across four seats in Bagh and Haveli districts as part of the third phase of the AJK election 2026. Vote counting began after polling ended, with unofficial results being released from different constituencies.
The LA-17 Bagh-4 constituency attracted particular attention because of Rathore’s position as the sitting prime minister of Azad Kashmir. His victory gives the PPP an important result in the ongoing electoral process.
Results from LA-14 Bagh have also emerged, with the constituency producing a major upset. Muslim Conference chief Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan was defeated on his home seat, according to unofficial and unverified results.
The latest results are expected to shape the political landscape in Azad Kashmir as counting continues across the remaining contested seats. The AJK election 2026 has witnessed closely fought contests, with several prominent political figures facing strong challenges.
