Three New Additional Judges Take Oath at Islamabad High Court

ISLAMABAD: Three newly appointed additional judges of the Islamabad High Court have taken oath of office in a ceremony held at the high court.

Islamabad High Court Chief Justice Sardar Sarfraz Dogar administered the oath to Justice Ayaz Shaukat, Justice Umair Majid Malik and Justice Sharukh Arjumand.

Judges of the Islamabad High Court attended the oath-taking ceremony along with the Advocate General for Islamabad and the Additional Attorney General.

President of the Islamabad High Court Bar Association Wajid Gilani and representatives of the Islamabad Bar Council were also present at the ceremony.

The appointment of the three additional judges marks a new addition to the judicial strength of the Islamabad High Court.

The development came shortly after President Asif Ali Zardari approved the appointment of additional judges to the Islamabad High Court.

The presidential approval was issued earlier on the same day, following which the newly appointed judges formally took oath and assumed their responsibilities as additional judges of the Islamabad High Court.
