Pakistan Condemns Houthi Ballistic Missile Attacks on Saudi Arabia, Reaffirms Full Support

Pakistan has strongly condemned the reported Houthi ballistic missile attacks on Saudi Arabia, reaffirming its unwavering support for the Kingdom’s security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. The statement was delivered during an emergency meeting of the United Nations Security Council held to discuss the evolving situation in Yemen.

Speaking at the session, Pakistan’s Deputy Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Usman Jadoon, denounced the missile attacks and emphasized that Pakistan stands firmly with Saudi Arabia against threats to its national security. He reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s sovereignty and regional stability.

During his address, Jadoon also reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for Yemen’s sovereignty, independence, unity, and territorial integrity. He stressed that rising tensions in the region should be addressed through dialogue, diplomacy, and restraint rather than military escalation.

The Pakistani envoy noted that lasting peace in Yemen can only be achieved through an inclusive political process involving all relevant stakeholders. He urged the international community to continue supporting diplomatic efforts aimed at ending the prolonged conflict and improving humanitarian conditions.

The remarks came after reports that Houthi forces launched ballistic missiles toward southern Saudi Arabia. According to media reports citing the Saudi-led coalition, the Kingdom’s air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed the incoming missiles before they reached their intended targets.

The latest developments follow accusations by the Houthi movement that Saudi-led forces carried out airstrikes near Sanaa Airport. The group warned that such actions would have consequences, adding to concerns over increasing regional tensions.
