Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has said that Pakistan played a significant role in efforts to promote peace during the recent tensions involving Iran and the United States. He stated that the country’s diplomatic efforts have strengthened its image as a responsible and peace-oriented nation on the global stage.
Speaking at a ceremony held to wash the shrine of Data Ganj Bakhsh in Lahore, Ishaq Dar said that Pakistan was given an important opportunity to contribute toward peace during a difficult period of regional uncertainty. He credited the leadership of Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif for guiding the country’s diplomatic initiatives.
Dar also praised Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, saying he worked tirelessly to support efforts aimed at maintaining peace and stability. According to the deputy prime minister, the combined efforts of Pakistan’s leadership helped project a positive image of the country internationally.
He stated that Pakistan’s name is being recognized across the world and that the country is increasingly viewed as a supporter of peace and regional stability. He emphasized that Pakistan has consistently advocated dialogue and diplomatic solutions to conflicts.
Discussing regional developments, Ishaq Dar said Pakistan was among the first countries to condemn the attack on Iran. He added that Pakistan stood firmly with Iran during a challenging period and maintained its principled position on the issue.
The deputy prime minister further claimed that Pakistan strongly condemned the attack on a fellow Muslim country and highlighted its commitment to supporting justice and peace. He said Pakistan has always pursued policies based on mutual respect and regional cooperation.
Addressing economic matters, Dar said the government had worked hard to stabilize the country’s economy under Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif’s leadership. He expressed optimism about Pakistan’s future, stating that the nation is moving toward economic growth and greater international recognition while continuing to strengthen its position on the global stage.
