Wife of Martyred Lt Commander Hamza Abid Joins Pakistan Navy

Alveera Hamza, the wife of martyred Lieutenant Commander Hamza Abid, has achieved a remarkable milestone by winning the prestigious Commandant Gold Medal and officially joining the Pakistan Navy’s Information Technology (IT) branch. Her achievement has been widely recognized as a symbol of courage, resilience, and dedication to national service.

After successfully completing her training at the Pakistan Naval Academy, Alveera demonstrated outstanding academic and professional performance throughout the course. Her commitment, discipline, and determination earned her one of the academy’s highest honors, reflecting her excellence during training.

Speaking about her journey, Alveera Hamza said that the martyrdom of her husband inspired her to pursue a career in the Pakistan Navy. She shared that wearing the same uniform she had once seen her husband wear and standing at the same institution fills her with immense pride and honor.

She added that her emotions are difficult to express in words, describing her time at the Pakistan Naval Academy as an unforgettable experience that strengthened both her confidence and sense of purpose. According to her, every stage of the training prepared her for the responsibilities of serving the country.

Alveera also encouraged young women across Pakistan to consider joining the armed forces. She emphasized that determination and hard work can help overcome challenges, saying that if she was able to achieve her goal, other women can also pursue careers in the military.
